Historic Mine-Bisbee

"One of early Bisbee’s many cleansing floods. This one occurred in 1895, a time when many restaurant owners still threw garbage out their back doors, carcasses of dogs and burros occasionally littered the town’s two main streets, and residents utilized open cesspools that contributed to the problems of pervasive stench, flies, and mosquitoes."
