Size: The Tribe gained federal recognition in 1990. This newly recognized tribe is currently in litigation to establish and secure their land base. Members reside primarily on several noncontiguous communities within the Navajo Nation, the largest located at Willow Springs near Tuba City and at Navajo Mountain on the Arizona/Utah border.
Industry: Livestock and subsistence farming, arts (known for basketry)
